A good rule of thumb in picking out a reputable agency is to chose the ones who DON’T offer schooling! ‘Agencies’ who offer paid training will see you as a cash cow instead of a source of new talent. (Read our Modeling Scam article for more details about why this is so.) Call an agency and ask if they represent plus-size or commercial models. If they do, get their height/size requirements and find out how to present yourself (send in photos, open calls, or by appointment). Remember, this is just like a job interview! Be polite and professional whenever dealing with an agency.
Before clicking away to your Agency, consider registering as a user here at PlusModels. Starting in May, we’re going to have monthly giveaways that only registered users and commenters are eligible for.
