Maya polychrome vase from the central lowlands, painted in a processional scene in the reminiscent of the painted murals at Bonampak.
This beautiful, well preserved vase stands in at 9 inches high. Last appraised in 1984 by the late, international renowned archeologist, evaluator, and art consultant Howard Bruce Greene II. The original appraisal from November 6,1984 will be included in the sale with accompanying pictures taken at the time.
The piece has been kept in a climate controlled environment ever since. The case and stand shown in the pictures will be included in the sale.
