Jil Sander's AW 1999 Wool Jacket. Made in Germany. In excellent pre-owned condition.
The front presents angled slit pockets on the sides, a fold-out collar, and a two-way chrome zipper at the center made by the Swiss company Riri.
Made from cuddly soft fleece wool mixed with 3% nylon and 2% lycra, the material provides a slight stretch. Ths thin woven wool is robust, heavy, and plain. The color choice, the straight waist fall, as well the proportions of this piece make it an excellent example of what Jil Sander stands for.
At the back, we can appreciate the sewn lines that join three panels, showcasing the finesse and design knowledge Jil Sander is known for. The lining is made from a blend of acetate and rayon, the inside has a similar tone to the outside but it's satin and therefore brighter.
Before its absorption by the Prada group, Jil Sander manufactured clothes in-house, it has to be said that, only the high-end garments were done in their Hamburg workshop whereas the rest was produced in Italy.
You can only expect the highest quality materials as well as excellent construction from a garment like this.
