Just for my plus-size princesses, I designed this beautifulrobe for those of you looking for a touch of quiet elegance and old-fashionedgrace. The fabric on this one is my very favorite to work withbecause it’s an excellent, strong quality – not overly thick, not too thin. Thequality here is on par with vintage Cabin Crafts; however, the spread I usedhad no tags present anywhere so I do not know the original manufacturer.
Main color is a creamy antique white with low, dense linesof tufting and lovely intricate detail including art nouveau-type raised linksand evenly spaced lines of perky pops in places. Dainty floral bouquets addjust enough feminine charm without overpowering the sophisticated appeal ofthis piece. Note that some of the photos near the window give this a very slight chartreuse cast - but in person, to my eye, this is antique ivory.
Depending on your unique build anddesired fit, you can wear this wrapped like a traditional robe, or meet the twofront panels at your bust line for a peignoir-like fit. According to my pattern, this *may* fit up to a modern size 4X. That said - everybody is different and each person has their own concept of how they want a garment to fit, so do check the msmts and feel free to ask any questions!
