This is an original typed letter signed by Daphne Marler in her capacity as personal secretary to English politician Duff Cooper. This letter is on stationery printed with the address 34 Chapel Street, Belgrave Square, S.W. in London, England. The letter is dated 9th December, 1939 and is addressed to Herbert Hamlin thanking him for sending a copy of the Pony Express Courier to Mr. Duff Cooper.
This letter was in an envelope addressed to Native American Indian poet Mr. W.F. Skyhawk (White Fox Sky-Hawk) of Berkeley, California. The envelope is postmarked November 4, 1938 so I assume isn’t the original envelope for the letter. White Fox Skyhawk was a Native American writer and poet and an occasional contributor to the Pony Express Courier periodical.
The letter and autograph are in very good condition and the envelope shows some dust staining and moderate wear. Email any questions. Thanks for looking.
