Unusual bag from à trek to the Amazon from à hippie backpacker estateThis woven bag ifrom the Waurani people of the Amazon jungle in Ecuador dates to the 1970s or 80sIt it entirely intact and has no holes or frays. The fiber is supple and silky and It is not at all dried out. It may be partially dyed with natural dies, or may use two colors of naturally colored fiber.It has à (working) heavy duty vintage brass zipper hand-stitched into place as a closure.
