Vintage Boy Scouts of America BSA Camping Lot Aluminum Mess Kit & Canvas Canteen
Up for sale is a classic, authentic vintage field gear lot from the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). This set includes one official canteen and one official mess kit, both complete with their original 100% cotton canvas carrying covers featuring the National Council emblem. Perfect for scouting memorabilia collectors or retro outdoor enthusiasts!
What's Included:
• 1x Official BSA Aluminum Canteen: Comes in its original khaki/tan canvas cover with secure dual snaps and an adjustable shoulder strap. Includes the hard plastic/bakelite-style screw cap on its original retention chain.
• 1x Official BSA Aluminum Nesting Mess Kit & Pouch: A classic 5-piece camp cooking set that fits perfectly inside its own matching rear-snap canvas carry bag. Includes a frying pan with a folding/locking metal handle, a secondary deep pan/plate, a boiling pot with a lid, and a classic light green plastic camp cup.
Condition Notes:
This set shows honest, age-appropriate wear from real scouting adventures.
• Metalwork: The aluminum pieces have typical light scratches, minor scuffs, and small dings from field use.
• Canvas Covers: Both canvas pouches are structurally sound with working snaps and straps. The fabric shows normal light fading, minor staining, and a great vintage patina. The snap on the back of the mess kit cover shows surface rust/corrosion but still functions.
• Please review all high-resolution photos carefully to assess the exact cosmetic condition before purchasing.
