Antique Chamberlain Worcester English porcelain plate dating to approximately c.1846–early 1850s. Beautiful Early Victorian porcelain decorated with colorful floral bouquets and garlands, an ornate molded/scalloped border, and extensive gilt detailing. The underside bears an impressed CHAMBERLAIN WORCESTER mark together with a blue British registration diamond. The registration code dates the design to March 6, 1846. Interesting Facts:• Chamberlain was one of the important historic Worcester porcelain manufacturers and became Chamberlain & Co. after the 1840 merger with Flight, Barr & Barr.• The British registration diamond provides a documented registration date for the design: March 6, 1846.• This plate is approximately 175–180 years old and is a genuine Early Victorian antique.• The elaborate floral decoration, shaped rim and gilding are characteristic of high-quality English decorative porcelain of the period.
