This is an authentic mid‑century Gurkha kukri, forged in Nepal between 1950–1970 for military field use. The blade shows the correct aggressive forward curve, heavy spine, and hand‑ground bevels associated with Nepalese army workshops of the era.The steel retains its untouched patina and minor surface rust, both highly desirable indicators of genuine age and carbon‑steel construction. No polishing, sanding, or restoration has been performed — the blade is presented exactly as found, preserving its full historical integrity.
The kukri includes its original Nepalese leather scabbard, hand‑stitched and showing age‑appropriate wear. This combination of untouched blade + original scabbard is what serious collectors look for.
