Selling a big stack of original vintage bicycle and moped dealer catalogs and flyers from the mid-to-late 1970s. These came right out of the counter files at Dave's Bike Shop in La Mesa, CA, where they sat filed away for decades. Great lot if you are restoring old steel road bikes or want some cool retro wall art to frame for a garage workshop.
Here is exactly what you get:
• 1974 John W. Murphy Co. Master Wholesale Catalog (San Francisco). Thick distributor book showing technical drawings and parts, mostly focused on old Italian 3TTT stems, bars, and leather saddles.
• 1970s Shimano Dura-Ace First-Gen Fold-out Poster. Big dealer poster showing the original 1973/1974 Dura-Ace road parts and the rare 10-pitch track racing components.
• 1975 Austro-Daimler Fold-out Poster and Catalog. Covers their high-end Reynolds 531 race bikes like the matte-black Vent Noir. Reverse side unfolds into a huge showroom poster.
• Late-1970s Miyata Bicycles Technical Brochure. Shows 10-speeds like the Americana and opens into a large technical blueprint diagram of their frame anatomy.
• 1977 Mel Pinto Imports Wholesale Flyer Stack. Three separate dealer sheets from April, June, and September 1977 listing wholesale costs for classic Cinelli bars/stems and old Park Tool shop gear.
• 1977 Peugeot 103 Moped Dealer Spec Sheet. Clean factory flyer for the classic 103-LVS two-stroke moped.
• 1977 ZSN Moped Accessory Catalog Cover. Cool piece of local San Diego history with an original ink postmark stamp from Escondido, CA, addressed straight to Dave's Bike Shop.
• 1976 Kucharik Custom Bicycle Clothing Catalog (No. 8). Out of Gardena, CA. Old illustrations of wool racing jerseys and leather hairnet helmets used by the U.S. Olympic team.
• 1970s Weyless Industries Product Brochure Packet. Gatefold price list folder and technical inserts for their classic roller trainers and sealed-bearing hubs.
Condition:
These are 100% original 1970s printings, not modern copies. For being 50 years old, they are in really nice shape. Completely flat and clean with no heavy garage grease stains or tears. Since they were active shop files, expect standard vintage signs of handling like original factory fold lines on the big posters and minor corner/edge wrinkles.
Everything will be sealed in a plastic sleeve and sandwiched firmly between thick, rigid sheets of cardboard so it ships completely flat. Check the photos and let me know if you have any questions.
