• Vintage Mid Century Hadar Aviv Israel Enamel on Metal Wood Wall Plaques Set of 2These plaques may depict subjects associated with Yemenite Jewish heritage: a celebratory dancer and a woman wearing an elaborate traditional bridal headdress. Yemenite Jews have a rich history of distinctive clothing, intricate jewelry, music, and dance.

In that cultural tradition, bridal adornments are associated with marriage, family, and community identity. Some were also traditionally believed to offer protection against the evil eye—a folk belief rather than a teaching shared by all Jewish communities.

The pair appears to celebrate cultural life rather than depict objects of worship.
