Cream-colored solid center with openwork mesh and an edge of joined 3D pansy motifs in purple, gold, and green.

Handmade cotton doilies feature a tan circular center with a border of multi-colored pansy flowers. The floral border includes shades of purple, yellow, and pink with green stem accents. This set includes two matching round pieces with intricate openwork stitching. In amazing condition for age!

The Pattern Origins: Originally published by the American Thread Company as part of their crochet book in 1940’s. Other renditions came as mail order catalogs in the late 1940’s (approx 1947.)
