4 Vintage Chinese Black Lacquer Mother-of-Pearl Inlay Wall Panels – Set of 4 Chinoiserie Scenic Figures & Pagoda Landscape Art
Description:
A beautiful set of four vintage Chinese decorative wall panels crafted in black lacquer with intricate mother-of-pearl inlay, dating to the 1970s. These elegant panels depict serene traditional garden scenes with graceful figures, pagodas, bamboo, birds, and distant mountain landscapes, all rendered in luminous shell inlay that shimmers against the deep lacquer background.
The delicate figures in flowing robes appear to be gathered in tranquil garden settings, a theme often seen in traditional Chinese decorative arts symbolizing harmony and refined living. Each scene is framed by an ornate geometric border, giving the panels a sophisticated architectural presence.
Pieces like these became especially popular during the 1970s Chinoiserie revival, when Asian decorative art and lacquer furnishings were widely incorporated into Western interiors and Hollywood Regency–inspired décor.
Displayed together, the four panels create a striking vertical wall installation, but they can also be arranged separately to add elegant accents throughout a room.
Perfect for interiors featuring Chinoiserie, Hollywood Regency, Asian-inspired décor, eclectic design, or traditional interiors.
