Since thirty years of struggle happily ended,
And brought a turn of fortune to times of pain,
As many springs of joy poured forth!In the garden of our bond, as in the house, it blossomed,
Not gold, yet heart and art I wished to lavish!
An eight-voiced song thought, alas, not to complete itself,
The beam of seven colors remained long faded!To the marriage lure magic flute tones,
The glow of fire inspires for the beautiful,
And the flood of water refreshes the true, the good!If the bloom of youth is not born anew for us,
Yet the lamp-shine of the spirit is unlost,
