Antique 19th C Iroquois Indian Native American Beaded Pincushion Trade Boot: $65.00
For sale is an Antique 19th C Iroquois Indian Native American Beaded Whimsy Trade Boot. It is likely made in the NorthEast USA and Canada by the Iroquois and Mohawk Tribal Indian Peoples in the 1800's. These beaded handmade crafts were hand made with European glass Trade Beads from places such as Bohemia, Czechoslovakia, and France.
This particular one has clear glass beads on a red fabric boot shaped cushion, possibly used as a pin cushion or just for decoration.
The item measures approximately 5.5" tall and 3.5” wide. Given its antique age, There are some losses in beadwork near the toe and on the top rim. The back fabric has some small torn area, see photos for detail. The most beautiful Beadworks at the front enter of the boot appear to be intact and are all there as far as I can see. Selling as is, no return.
