Antique stoneware pitcher / jug, likely late 19th to early 20th century, made in a primitive folk pottery style.
This is a heavy, hand-thrown utilitarian vessel with a wonderful aged surface and a distinctive reddish medallion decoration on the body. Originally used for water, milk, or other household liquids, today it makes a fantastic decorative piece for farmhouse, primitive, rustic, or wabi-sabi interiors.
The jug measures approximately 14 inches tall and about 9.5 inches in diameter. It features a central handle and two spout forms at the rim, typical of early functional pottery.
Condition: authentic antique condition with age-related wear. There is a visible chip on the rim (please see photos), along with surface wear, stains, and firing marks consistent with age and use. No major cracks observed.
A great piece of early utilitarian pottery with strong character and presence — perfect for collectors of primitive antiques, folk art, or rustic decor.
