For your consideration is an exceptional, statement-sized antique Art Deco art pottery amphora vase produced by the renowned Faïencerie de Thulin in Belgium during the 1920s to 1930s.
Standing at an impressive 16 inches tall, this is a highly collectible, oversized exhibition piece. It features Thulin\'s iconic catalog shape number \"21\", beautifully characterized by a deeply molded, swirling ribbed body and a matching fluted neck. Two elegant, tightly twisted \"rope\" handles gracefully flank the central column.
The glaze execution on this piece is spectacular. It features a rich, multi-colored flambé drip glaze where thick, buttery caramel-cream and tan tones cascade over a deeply saturated midnight cobalt blue base. The unglazed buff-clay bottom is deeply incised with the factory shape number \"21\".
Condition:
Excellent antique condition. There are no chips, cracks, structural damage, or repairs to the fragile twisted handles or rim. Minor glaze pops, factory firing anomalies, and light crazing consistent with age and authentic Belgian pottery production are present. Brilliant gloss finish throughout. Please review all high-resolution photos as they form part of the description.
Shipping & Handling:
This is a large, heavy, and fragile item. It will be meticulously packed, double-boxed, and fully insured to ensure a safe arrival at its destination.
