Antique Beautiful 1940s Cordey Regal Lady Figurine Bust Gold Accent Fine Porcelain
This is a genuine Cordey Lady bust, but the lable or signature is not present any longer on the bottom. However it is numbered in paint 5014-12 or 3014-12 (can’t tell for sure) in blue script.
Dimensions are about:
6" high
3 1/2” long
3” wide
These Corday busts of glamorous and regal looking women are truly little works of art, sculpted from a fine porcelain, and they are amazing collectibles.
This one has the copious curls and lovely accented facial features that many of this series is known for. She wears a pretty printed blue formal gown with white ruffles at the top and bottom. She wears a gold crown on her head, which may indicate royalty.
She is in overall very good condition and structurally sound, save for a couple of ruffles on her collar, which have somewhat roughened areas where they may have small chips. They are not readily apparent and can’t really be noticed by sight, but the edges can be felt in places, if rubbed.
These Cordey lady busts are charming and beautiful decorative touches anywhere, whether in a collection of the series, or placed with other art objects in a bedroom, on a vanity, bathroom, on a table or shelf, or tucked into a cabinet for display!
