Antique Carved Wood Reliquary Plaque Panel Saint Figures 17th C. French Spanish For Sale

A fine and highly detailed carved walnut architectural ornament plaque with Saint figures that likely surmounted a large reliquary inside of a cathedral. It is from the 17th century and is likely Spanish or French in origin. One Saint holds a palm leaf and the other a sword, possibly Saint Catherine, with a green man beneath and flanked by a foliate design. Wood is built up in several sections, there are hand forged nails still present as seen from the back. It is in nice condition for age with a warm patina, some scattered losses, wear to figures, etc. Please see all photos for condition.
