Antique German BADUFA (Badische Uhrenfabrik) Oak Mantel Clock, c. 1902–1908

Late Victorian German mantel clock, not working, in excellent original cosmetic condition. In an interesting transitional case, unknown maker, with highly unusual curved sides. 8-day movement with the crescent moon trademark of Badische Uhrenfabrik (BADUFA) of Furtwangen, Germany. With pendulum and key.

The brass dial features applied cast spandrels, a 4-inch silvered Arabic numeral chapter ring, and ornate original hands. The case is in exceptional condition, with beveled glass and original finials.

The clock is NOT WORKING and will need maintenance and repair. The time mechanism appears to be in good condition, but will run only for a minute or two before stopping. The strike mechanism does not hold tension and will require repair before the clock will strike properly.

13 inches tall (not counting the finials). 9 7/8 inches wide at the base. 6 7/8 inches deep.
