Antique German Belsnickel / Santa Claus Christmas figure, measuring approximately 5.5” tall.Charming early German Christmas figure featuring a hand-painted composition face, red felt coat and hood with white trim, fiber beard, painted black boots, cord belt and green foliage/tree in hand. Square base is stamped “Made in Germany” on the underside.Wonderful old-world Christmas character with lots of primitive folk-art appeal.Antique condition with age-related wear, including crazing/cracking and paint wear to the face and boots, wear/soiling to the base, and age-related wear to the felt, beard and greenery.
