Offered is an original TRW (Thompson Ramo Wooldridge) Apollo 15 press kit from July 1971, produced in advance of the Apollo 15 mission.
This original contractor press packet contains TRW News releases, technical fact sheets, engineering drawings, and diagrams covering the Apollo 15 mission, including the Particles & Fields Subsatellite, Lunar Module Descent Engine (LMDE), Abort Guidance System, and related Apollo hardware. The packet also includes the original TRW presentation folder.
Apollo 15 was the first Apollo "J" mission and featured the deployment of the Particles & Fields Subsatellite, the first satellite released into lunar orbit by astronauts during a manned lunar mission. TRW designed and built much of the hardware documented in this packet, making these original materials an important part of Apollo program history.
