Handwritten signed inscription on half title: 'Darling Harry [Prince Henry] from Mary [Princess Royal and Countess of Harewood-- his sister ] Christmas 1963.' Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester (1900 - 1974) was the third son of King George V and Queen Mary. He served as Governor-General of Australia. Prince George, Duke of Cambridge (1819 - 1904) was an army officer who served as Commander-in-Chief of the Forces from 1856 to 1895.
- Autograph / signature card of British / United Kingdom royalty King / Prince Edward Albert and Queen / Princess Mary. The card and envelope are inscribed gifting cake to their nanny Miss Symons whose family also ran a shop in Crathie, Balmoral where the royals summer in Scotland.
