Brown Wax Cylinder Billy Murray Columbia 31726 “Rip Van Winkle Was A Lucky Man”: $289.00
For sale is “Rip Van Winkle Was A Lucky Man”, a Columbia moulded brown wax cylinder sung by Billy Murray and featuring piano accompaniment. The serial number is 31726.The song is quite catchy and humorous, one of the better comic song recordings I've heard from the era. It has been test-played using an Edison phonograph and Model B reproducer. It plays loud and clear with no skipping. There are a few surface divots which are audible, but nothing major. Very light dormant mold is present on the edge of the bottom rim. The carton and lid are matching and handwritten. See the photos for more details!
This cylinder and carton will be well-protected during shipping. I ensure each record is securely wrapped in cushioning, encased in cut-to-size cardboard poster tubing, inserted inside an appropriately sized box, and filled with further packing materials to prevent damage during transit.
Free shipping within the USA, paid shipping for international. Please see the photos as a confirmation of the condition and description. No returns are accepted. Thanks for your interest. Message me if you have questions!
