Estate Briar Tobacco Pipe Lot of 3 Tinder Box St Tropez St Claude France Rack For Sale

A lot of three used estate briar tobacco pipes displayed on a wooden 3-pipe rack — a good pickup for a smoker/restorer or for parts. Two of the three carry named French marks; all are sold as-is for restoration or collection.

• 3 estate briar pipes:
• A smooth half-bent billiard with a black vulcanite saddle stem and attractive birdseye grain (faint grade-word shank stamp only — no maker resolved).
• A relief-carved "bark" pipe with black-filled grooves and a tapered stem, shank-stamped The Tinder Box / Made in France (The Tinder Box was a US tobacconist franchise; this is one of its French / St-Claude-made carved pieces).
• A smooth half-bent billiard/pot with a dark-brown vulcanite stem, shank-stamped St Tropez / St Claude France (a basic French export-grade briar).
• 1 wooden 3-pipe rack.

Pre-owned, honest estate use — sold AS-IS for restoration or collection (not test-smoked):

• Carbon cake in all three bowls and darkened/charred bowl rims.
• Stem oxidation — most noticeable on the dark-brown St Tropez stem and the carved pipe's stem (will benefit from de-oxidizing).
• Likely minor tooth chatter at the bits; smooth briar may show a few natural pits/fills common at this grade.
• Airway/draw, tenon fit, and any hairline shank cracks were not assessed.
• Wooden rack is intact with normal light wear.

Please clean and sanitize before use.

Two of the three pipes are named, searchable French briars — The Tinder Box (Made in France) and St Tropez (St Claude France) — with the third a grade-stamped smooth briar. These are entry/mid-tier French estate pipes (not premium named makers, and not the collectible Italian Tinder Box freehands), offered together with the rack as a single lot with combined shipping.
