This spectacular Herkimer Diamond Quartz matrix specimen is from The Herkimer Diamond Mine KOA Resort in Middleville, New York!
It is comprised of a piece of glittering druzy dolostone matrix with a cluster of dozens of small double terminated crystals measuring 0.96 long attached to the back side! The crystals have excellent clarity with inclusions of black hydrocarbon and rainbows and have perfectly sharp edges and terminations. Double sided Herkimer Matrix specimens like this are quite unusual!
100% natural. Mined by hand in the spring of 2023.
