LARGE VINTAGE HANDPAINTED ITALIAN MAJOLICA DONKEY CART COLLECTIBLE, 11Lx8Hx5W: $40.00
Charming Italian majolica art pottery donkey and cart, likely made in the 1950s/60s in the classic Vietri style of rustic, colorful folk art collectibles/souvenirs. Handpainted colors still are quite vibrant. Sweet-faced, big-eared donkey is gray and black, pulling a yellow cart with maroon wheels, mottled turquoise interior and green spotted shafts. Marked on the bottom is \"Italy\" and \"367/503\" which indicates the mold number. Substantially sized, measures 11\" long, 8\" high, 5\" wide and weighs 2 lbs 10 oz. Prefect for a plant, trinkets or candy, or simply to bring Mediterranean appeal to your decor on a shelf, mantel or tabletop. In very good pre-owned condition; the tip of the shaft on the donkey\'s right side has been repaired--you probably wouldn\'t notice if I hadn\'t told you! This is truly one of the best examples of the Italian majolica donkey carts we have seen!
