Lindbergh & His Plane, \"Spirit of St Louis\" with US Sailors; Excellent Condition For Sale

There is little information on this card about where and when Charles Lindbergh met these sailors. Lindbergh was extremely popular when he returned from making his solo flight across the Atlantic. It was right before WW2 and the writer of the narration on the back of this card did not yet know how Lindbergh supported much of Hitler\'s plans and proved to be a friend of the Axis during that war. It is unlikely he ever would have been appointed an \"ambassador.\"
Nevertheless, he was a major figure to the American public and his feats as a pilot deserve attention and admiration. He was at the right place with the right equipment and luck at the right time. Aviation had seized the attention of the public and a tall, handsome, poised gentleman pilot easily became the temporary darling of the see our photos.
