Mozambique Agate Tumbling Rough for Rock Tumbling 5LBs For Sale

This listing is for raw Mozambique Agate (also known as Swazi Agate) sourced from southeastern Africa, carefully selected and sized for rock tumbling. Known for its rich, vibrant coloration and unique banding, this highly durable rough takes a brilliant shine and is tumble-ready for your rotary or vibratory tumbler.

• Optimized for Tumbling: These pieces are an ideal, workable size for standard tumbling barrels, saving you the time and effort of breaking down larger rough before starting your coarse grit stage.
• Color & Pattern: Features a stunning, vibrant mix of deep reds, oranges, and warm earthy tones, often displaying intricate bands and patterns reminiscent of Botswana agate. We have photographed the material both wet and dry to give you an accurate look at the incredible color saturation that will emerge once it reaches the final polishing stage.
• Tumbling Performance: As a hard variety of chalcedony (Mohs hardness of 7), Mozambique Agate is incredibly durable and takes an outstanding, mirror-like polish with standard aluminum or cerium oxide. Tumbling Tip: Because the natural exterior of this specific rough can sometimes be textured or pitted, it may benefit from a slightly longer run in the coarse grinding stage to ensure a perfectly smooth surface before moving to your pre-polish.

Note: The images provided are a representative sample of our current batch. As this is naturally occurring rock, the exact shapes, sizes, and specific color ratios of the rough you receive will vary, but will consistently match the material grade, size, and visual quality shown.
