ORIGINAL Remington Arms Co. (UMC = Union Metallic Cartridge Company). Tangstamp 1924-1933. MUSKRAT Pattern R4593.Remington Roger’s Bone. Length =4” closed. Blades were lightly used, butblades appear full length and width. Dark-brownhandles with absolutely no chips; no cracks. There is a natural pit in the bone that must have been original, because it is dyed inside the pit (see closeups). Good strong snaps. Blades tight; no play/wobble at all. Standard nail nicks accessible by cutouts inhandles NOTE: Rogers Bone was made by the Rogers Manufacturing Company of Rockfall, Connecticut during the early 20th Century. Some time later Case XX began making their own "Case Rogers Bone", which is different jigging.

Tang stamp is a circle stamp typical of 1933-1935.
This is an early Remington knife with good steel and elongate blades.
Knife is 4" long (closed) with steel liners.
The blade steel is carbon steel.
Blade have good matchup with the backspring (see closeup); no play left/right.
Blades each have good snap opening and closing.
Scales are jigged Roger's Bone with great color andtexture.
Scales have no hairline cracks. Hairlines were very common in this pattern, because the pins were placed close to the handle margins. This one has none. It has a pit (closeup shown) in the bone that appears to be natural.
Knife was used and sharpened (minimal sharpening loss).
Great old knife with plenty of function and life left.
Well-made old knife. No box. Props used in these photographs are not included in the sale. I have not cleaned, buffed, or otherwise modified this knife. I do not clean knives, as per request from collectors. See photos for details. No surprises; if I make any mistakes I will refund you.
