Postcard SS President Dollar Steamship Line Chinese Junk At Hong Kong 2BB13 Art For Sale

Original vintage postcard issued by the Dollar Steamship Lines of San Francisco, featuring an illustration of a traditional Chinese junk boat at Hong Kong harbor.

The reverse bears the company emblem and printed travel lines reading “On Board S.S. President” and “En Route To,” indicating the card was intended for passengers traveling aboard the Dollar Line’s trans-Pacific ocean liners. These ships carried passengers between the United States and Asia during the interwar period, making this both a maritime souvenir and a travel history artifact.

Cards of this type were commonly written and mailed during ocean voyages, serving as early cruise-ship correspondence.
