RARE Vintage Hotel Bronx Free Garage Parking East Main At Stanislaus Stockton CA Promotional Advertising Business Hospitality Sign On Poster Board. This collectible sign is an estate sale find, and a very tough one to come by nowadays. It is a promotional piece for the Hotel Bronx, which was a historic hotel located at 640 East Main Street at Stanislaus Street in Stockton, California.
Details from the Sign:
• Business Name: Hotel Bronx
• Location: East Main at Stanislaus (Stockton, CA)
• Features Listed: Free garage and room rates ($1.25 and $2.00).
• History: The five-story brick building was erected around 1912 by Arthur W. Cowell and operated as the Hotel Bronx through the mid-20th century, before later being repurposed into apartments (such as Almond View Apartments or Main Street Manor).
Based on the room rates, this most likely came from the very early days of this hotel. It has some minor wear to the corners (as well as a few little areas on the edges), but overall is in solid shape. It measures approximately 24” x 9.75”. This would make an excellent addition for any collector of Stockton, California memorabilia! It will be shipped with extreme care. Detailed pictures provided. Thanks for looking!
