For sale here is an awesome piece of authentic animation art from the 1935 cartoon \"Robinson Crusoe Isle\" featuring Oswald The Lucky Rabbit during his years at the Walter Lantz Studios. What makes this piece extra special is the animators who worked on this specific cartoon.
This short was animated primarily by Fred \"Tex\" Avery. The other animators who helped during production were Jack Carr, Ray Abrams, Joe D\'Igalo and Victor McLeod, all also legends of American animation.
Research indicates that this piece is from a lost scene in which Oswald is dialing his radio while in fear of the cannibals. The expression is classic Oswald, and he is presented here on 12 field, 2 peghole animation paper, rendered in graphite and red pencil. Oswald\'s image measures approximately 2 inches by 2 inches on the paper. Sequence number 0-200 is noted in the upper right corner as well as various other notations.
It is in very good condition with the usual standard production handling wear and light toning from age.
This is a great piece for any animation fan.
