Dimensions: 5.0 x 5.0 cm (Flask body excluding loops and neck) Inscriptions: Authentic archaic Greek/Cyrillic lettering identifying the saints.Description: An exceptionally rare, museum-quality medieval bronze pilgrim\'s ampulla (holy water/oil flask), worn by pious travelers visiting holy sites. This dual-sided flask is completely intact, featuring two small suspension loops on the shoulders and a central pouring spout. Remarkably, it comes with its original metal cap attachment on a wearable chain.
Averse: High-relief depiction of Saint George (Agios Georgios) on horseback, spearing the dragon. The bold archaic inscription explicitly reads \"ГЕОPГIОС\" on the right and \"АГIО\" on the left.
Reverse: Depicts the Holy Roman Emperor Saint Constantine and his mother Saint Helen standing flanking the True Cross. Clear partial inscriptions of their names are visible above their halos.
Condition: Excellent, choice medieval condition. No cracks, holes, or modern restorations. The flask retains its original thick walls and displays a stunning, uncleaned earthen and dark cocoa-bronze patina. The relief remains remarkably crisp.
