Rare Antique Wedgwood Yellow & Black Jasperware Table Lamp, c.1895
A rare and striking antique Wedgwood table lamp featuring a beautiful yellow and black Jasperware body, dating to approximately 1895.
The lamp is marked, supporting its authenticity and Wedgwood origin.
The body features a distinctive mustard-yellow ground with contrasting black applied relief decoration. The elegant baluster form is richly decorated with classical motifs, including stylized leaves, acanthus, harebells, grapes and vines, scrollwork, and other neoclassical foliate elements.
The upper lamp assembly is made of metal with a black finish, beautifully complementing the black relief decoration of the Jasperware body.
The lamp stands on a substantial dark wooden decorative base, adding to its elegant Victorian appearance.

Very good overall antique condition. There is a tiny chip to the white band of the raised relief decoration, as shown in the photos. There are also minor surface scratches consistent with age and normal wear. Overall, the lamp remains in very good condition for its age.
