The Dramatic Order of the Knights of Khorassan (also known as the D.O.K.K.) functions as a apendent auxiliary of the The Kights of Pythias.This uniform is an authentic antique Order of Knights of Khorassan uniform from the 1920s. Look at the patches on the jacket sleves, on the right the growling tiger and on the left the crossed flages and Winnipeg Canada. In July of 1929 there was a massive mildstone international gathering none as the Imperial Palace Conclave held in Winnipeg. This exhibition brought thousands of members from the U.S. and Canada to Winnipeg. This uniform was worn at the Winnipeg fraternal celebration and the patches represent the unity between the U.S and Canadian Temples. We should remember this today. The members of this fun loving bunch are often referred to as "Dokkeys". The archive consists of a jacket, vest, pants and sash. The vest and sash were made by Van Horn & Son out of Philadelphia. Founded in 1852 they were the oldest and most renowned theatrical costum suppier in the U.S. The jacket and pants were made by the DeMoulin Bros. & Co. of Greenville ILL founded in 1892. One of largest and most famous manufacturers of secret society regalia. They are still in business today and even have there own museum. The uniform is a piece of historical memorabilia associated with the Kights of Pythias and the Dramatic Order of Knights of Khorroassan, making it a unique and valuable collectible for enthusiasts of fraternal organizations and historical artifacts. This item provides a tangible connection to a specific organization and time period, offering a sense of heritage and nostalgia for those interested in such pieces. I have 3 of these uniforms all 3 with the same order number on the tags. Most likely form members of the same Lodge. The names and sizes of the members they were made for are hand written on the tags. They are all a little bit different. If you are interested in all 3 look at my other listings.
