Introduced in 1952, the Snorkel system is widely regarded as one of the most mechanically ingenious filling systems ever mass-produced. It allows you to cleanly fill the pen by extending a tiny tube from beneath the feed, meaning you never have to dip the nib itself into ink. This pen has the 14K gold snorkel tube (also known as a secondary feed) that marks it as a first-year production pen, as later years used a stainless steel tube. This pen has been completely disassembled and cleaned. All the seals have been replaced with modern rubber seals that will write for another 50+ years. The latex sac has been replaced with a fresh sac, and the pen has been tested thoroughly. Cosmetically, this pen is in near-mint condition. There are no visible scratches on the barrel or section.
