This vintage real photo postcard features a handsome uniformed French soldier posing for his portrait. Examining the card\'s, front and back, yields some background information. This photo portrait presents a Captain in the military. He is part of the 48th Regiment. The previous owner of this postcard asserts that he is wearing a decoration of honor from the French Legion. The captain appears to be identified as Rene de la Haye Montbault. The lighting employed by the officer\'s photographer is outstanding. The dark background has the effect of making the officer \"pop out\" of the darkness. A photographers stamp visible on the front of the postcard indicates that the photo was taken at the Marc Studio in Paris, France. This postcard has some corner wear and is in overall good condition (see scans).
