Set 5 Antique CHILDREN\'S TEACUPS W SAUCERS Bavarian Porcelain EMBOSSED FLOWERS
10 pieces total- 5 teacups and 5 matching saucers
Cup Size Approx. 1.25\" tall x 1.5\" across
Saucer 2 3/8\" across with a circle indent in center for cup
When the cup is placed in the saucer, they are 1.5\" together in height
This is an extremely rare and collectible set because of the small size of the pieces. Perfect as a children\'s set or dollhouse display. These date from approx. 1880 in the Victorian era. Most likely German or Bavarian.
Porcelain is quite thick and sturdy, this was done to prevent cups from breaking in small hands at play
Features some quite unusual details- the glossy white porcelain cups & saucers have hand-applied BRIGHT MAGENTA PINK rims and a FOREST GREEN center, with gold gilt detailing at edgings and rims.
These have an outstanding design- embossed [pressed] sunflowers going around the rims, and embossed stalks and leaves at the base. The saucers have the same design with an extra added attraction. They have a large sunflower-shape surrounding the indent [which then looks like the center of a flower]
Excellent condition other than one saucer has a tiny flake off of the porcelain near the edge [see last pic]. Some light but visible wear to the paint normal for age [almost 150 years] and light use. This actually makes the embossed flowers show more, which allows the shape of the leaves and flowers to really show well. Some wear to gold gilding, as to be expected for age. Absolutely no other issues- no nicks chips crazing or repair to any of the 4 pieces. No fading, richly colored
Please see all pics and use zoom.
A gorgeous set for a collector.Incredibly charming.

Please note the following, dear fellow shopping enthusiasts:
I strive to give you the VERY best service possible. I am not a dealer or professional, just a lifelong collector and lover of all things Vintage. I represent my items as accurately and clearly as I can, and believe it is always better for you to have too much information than not enough. Please ask ANY questions before offerding, I will happily respond.
I will promptly mail your item within 1 business day and post GREAT positive response for you as soon as payment is received.
Remember, these are vintage items and will have reasonable signs of age and wear which only adds to their personality, appeal and \"funky vintage-ness\". They are not in their original boxes unless noted. I do not excessively clean items or remove age patina, as I want to leave that option for the buyer.
Go Green! I try to re-use clean, almost-new shipping boxes when possible.
I will gladly combine shipping on multiple items for you.
Thank you for looking
