A beautiful set of six covered porcelain cups with matching saucers, featuring delicate floral decoration, elegant gold accents, and charming flower-shaped finials. These coordinated pieces have a lovely traditional porcelain aesthetic, making them an appealing addition to a vintage tableware collection, an elegant display, or a collection of specialty serving pieces.
Each cup features a softly shaped, slightly scalloped body, a graceful handle, and a removable domed lid topped with a decorative flower-shaped finial. Delicate blue and lavender-purple floral sprigs with green foliage adorn the light-colored porcelain, while gold-colored detailing highlights the rims, handles, and lid finials. The matching saucers complete the coordinated presentation.
The form and size are consistent with covered chocolate cups or bullion cups. Similar small lidded porcelain vessels were also used for serving individual desserts such as pot de crème.
