Superb Antique Edwardian Tuck Mechanical Animal Die Cut Embossed Ram Sheep HTF For Sale

Thisis a die-cut thick paper/thin cardboard embossed ram sheep withjointed legs and head so you can move them into different poses, andhe\'s designed to stand up as well. He was part of a set of “FatherTuck\'s Mechanical Animals” that was made by Raphael Tuck & Sonsin 1910. He\'s number 10 in the series. This ram measures about 9 ½inches long by about 5 ¾ inches tall at the shoulder (the poseablehead can go higher). Although die-cut scraps are often reproduced inmodern versions, I have not seen any modern reproductions of thesemechanical animals, and this one is genuinely old. It is in very goodused condition; nothing is missing, torn, or creased. I LOVE thesemechanical animals Tuck made!!! They\'re big and pretty and superwell-made and well-designed and the artwork is excellent! They reallyhave everything. I\'d have been thrilled to have been given a set ofthese as an Edwardian child. I want to keep them all, but I\'m tryingto stick just to the animals I collect, which isn\'t easy! I have tokeep reminding myself I\'ve got to make a living. These animals arequite hard to find.
