Vintage Soviet / USSR Officer Leather Map Bag – Planshet Field CaseVintage brown leather military-style officer's map bag/planshet measuring approximately 10" × 8". Features a long adjustable leather shoulder strap, metal hardware, multiple interior compartments, pencil/pen holders, securing straps, and an original old eraser that was found inside one of the fitted pockets.Of particular interest is a faded rectangular ink stamp on the interior leather. The outline of the stamp and traces of the original markings are still visible, although the lettering and date are too faded to positively identify. Please see close-up photographs of the stamp.The bag shows genuine age and use, including leather wear, scratches, discoloration, patina to the metal hardware, and interior staining. Stitching and hardware appear intact overall. The bag has not been cleaned or restored, and the faded stamp has been left untouched.Exact production date and military issue cannot be confirmed.
