VINTAGE ONE of a KIND HANDMADE and HANDPAINTED SITTING SANTA CLAUS made in GERMANY in the FORTIES or FIFTIES. As a designer, who loves to decorate for the holidays, I was excited to find this WONDERFUL WAX FABRIC SANTA when picking a former ANTIQUE DEALERS personal stash of decor. This 70+ YEAR OLD piece measures 22 1/2" high by 16" wide and 6"-6 1/2" in depth. He has his COAT OFF and is SITTING and RELAXING in his VEST, SMOKING HIS PIPE with his ARMS RELAXED BEHIND HIS HEAD. The WAXED and PAINTED FABRIC has been SEWN, STUFF and ATTACHED to the WOOD BASE with COPPER NAILS. It has a NUMBER on the BOTTOM of the PIECE.
