Short DescriptionRare 1960s Japanese \"Comet\" world time desk accessory by Zenza Bronica. This iconic piece features a half-globe dome map surrounded by a rotating black world-time ring with global city markers. Please note this is an incomplete collector\'s piece missing the central removable rocket-shaped pen lighter. However, it does include a vintage lighter tip found inside the battery compartment (unverified if it belongs to this model). Great for restoration or parts.Detailed Condition Description
Cosmetic Condition: Very good vintage condition. The metallic globe dome retains a strong shine with minor surface wear, light age-related patina, and faint scuffs consistent with age. Lettering on the time zone ring remains crisp and highly legible.
Battery Compartment: EXCELLENT & CLEAN. The internal battery well has been inspected and features no corrosion or rust, which is highly uncommon for electronics of this era. Terminal contacts are clean.
Bonus Included Part: Found safely tucked inside the battery well was a loose vintage lighter tip mechanism. It is included with this listing. I am not certain if it belongs to this specific lighter or a different vintage model, so please review all photos carefully.
Functionality: Sold AS-IS / FOR PARTS OR REPAIR. The rotating mechanism turns smoothly. Because the main rocket body insert is missing, the electrical circuit cannot be completed, and the electronic function remains untested.
