Key Features & Design

• Materials & Construction: Built using authentic materials like cast iron and aluminum to mirror the real-life central heating units. [1]

• Interactive Elements: Equipped with functional access doors, dampers, and miniature mechanisms to simulate shaking ashes into an ash-pit. [1]

• Working Electronics: Wired with an early 110v electrical setup, featuring a functional internal fan and a lighted interior to vividly show how hot air circulated. [1, 2, 3]

• The Salesman's Kit: The miniature furnace typically stands around 14 inches tall. It was originally packaged in a felt-lined wooden carrying case finished in black leatherette, often accompanied by a metal instructional sign with operating diagrams. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Value and Collectibility

Because the Holland Furnace Company (founded in 1906) was once an industry giant before its mid-century decline, these high-end "toys" are incredibly rare. Today, they cross the block at major sale houses like Aumann sales and Invaluable.
