Wonderful set of three vintage Christmas tree light rosettes, believed to date to the 1930s–1940s.
These beautiful little decorations feature colorful, faceted, star-shaped glass centers surrounded by ornate openwork metal backings in a snowflake or flower-like design.
The three color combinations include:
Brilliant raspberry pink glass with red metal backing
Soft coral pink glass with orange metal backing
Deep amethyst purple glass with blue metal backing
These decorative rosettes are believed to be Japanese-made examples of the type sold by American Christmas lighting companies, including Paramount and Reliance. Similar decorations were produced as alternatives to the collectible Matchless Wonder Stars.
Measurements: Each rosette measures approximately 1¾ inches in diameter, including the decorative metal backing.
Condition: All three show wear consistent with their considerable age. The painted metal backings exhibit paint loss, oxidation, and surface wear. The glass stars show scratches and signs of age. Please examine all photographs carefully for details of their vintage condition.
Original light bulbs and electrical fittings are not included. These are offered as vintage collectible decorative components, untested and as found.
An unusual and colorful addition to a collection of early electric Christmas decorations, vintage Christmas lighting, or antique holiday memorabilia.
Sold as a set of three.
