Vintage 1938 California Political Campaign Ham & Eggs Retirement Check:
$29.00

Fascinating piece of Great Depression-era political and financial ephemera. Distributed during the peak of the 1938 election cycle, this promotional specimen warrant was used to campaign for Proposition 25 (the "Thirty Dollars a Week for Life" initiative for citizens over 50).

The payee line is cleverly written out to "You and Every California Citizen over Fifty" for the amount of $30.00, dated election day (Nov. 8, 1938). The bottom edge includes the historic radio broadcast schedule (KYA, KFWB, etc.) and the movement's San Francisco and Hollywood headquarters.

Condition: good vintage condition. Crisp paper, vivid ink text, and sharp details with minimal age wear. Uncanceled specimen.

Dimensions: Standard vintage warrant/scrip size.

Perfect for: Collectors of Depression-era scrip, California political history, alternative currency, and Americana ephemera.
