Vintage Trumbull Electric Knife Switch Panel – Perfection Stove Company Cleveland – Military Style Electrical Control Board
Offered is an unusual vintage electrical control and distribution panel manufactured by Perfection Stove Company of Cleveland, Ohio, featuring two large Trumbull heavy-duty knife switches with original wooden operating handles and copper contact assemblies.
The panel measures approximately 30 inches long by 11.5 inches wide and is constructed on a substantial, heavy wooden mounting board with an olive-drab painted finish.
The original manufacturer’s identification plate reads:
PERFECTION STOVE COMPANY – CLEVELAND
E5300 – ORD. NO. 7399178
The panel features multiple electrical voltage markings, including 6V, 12V, and 24V, positive and negative polarity indicators, and a separate 24V heater designation.
An original instruction plate reads:
“BEFORE OPERATING HEATER OPEN TWO SHUT-OFF COCKS AT FUEL TANK.”
The two large Trumbull knife switch assemblies feature heavy copper blades, contact terminals, and wooden handles. The switches are marked with Trumbull branding and electrical ratings.
The construction, markings, and manufacturer suggest possible military or industrial use, potentially associated with vintage engine heating, generator, or electrical power distribution equipment. Perfection Stove Company was a known manufacturer of military heating equipment during the mid-20th century. The exact original application and production date of this particular panel have not been confirmed.
Condition:
Vintage condition with age-related wear, scratches, paint loss, oxidation and patina throughout. The wooden switch handles show considerable finish wear. Copper components exhibit age-related discoloration and oxidation.
The panel retains both large Trumbull knife switch assemblies, numerous original copper contacts, identification plates, and rear electrical connection studs.
Some components or connections may be missing. The panel is being sold exactly as pictured, with no additional parts included.
Untested and sold as-is for restoration, historical collection, display, or parts. No representations are made regarding electrical functionality or safety.
