An authentic, beautifully preserved 1940s–1950s mid-century Chalkware (cast plaster) figurine imported by the renowned Corona Art Ware company.
This classic, large-scale narrative statue depicts an adorable boy and girl standing back-to-back in a playful childhood \"sweetheart spat.\" The stubborn little girl crosses her arms and looks away, while the curious boy tries to act indifferent but can\'t help turning his head to peek back over his shoulder at her.
Most importantly, the original white felt protective base is completely intact on the bottom, proudly preserving the original blue-and-gold foil \"Corona Art Ware - Made in Italy\" crown label.Exact Dimensions:- Total Height: 10 inches- Base Width: 5 inches- Weight: 2lbs 2oz (unboxed)
Condition Notes:The statue is structurally solid with no major breaks or repairs—a rare feat for fragile vintage plaster of this age. It features wonderful, soft mid-century cold-painted tones (mint green, mustard yellow, and earth-toned browns). It shows light, honest, age-appropriate edge wear, minor chipping (please refer to photos), and slight fading, but it has retained its rich color palette remarkably well.
