Vintage 1950s Shedd's Peanut Butter Tin:
$28.00

This is an iconic 1950s Shedd's Peanut Butter 5-lb tin pail that was produced by She'd-Bartush Foods, Inc. During the 1950s and 1960s, Shedd's sold it peanut butter in large 5-pound metal buckets. These containers feature a wire bail handle and whimsical, colorful lithographed circus graphics. These tins were intentionally designed with a dual purpose; once the peanut butter was finished, families famously reused them as sand buckets. This tin is in excellent condition with no apparent damage at all. It measures 6 1/2 inches tall and has a diameter of 6 inches at the top.
